Our Company History...

"The Jewelry Guy", the name was first given back in 1992, at that time The Jewelry Guy was making hand-made jewelry out of base metals and semi-precious gemstones. People loved what The Jewelry Guy was creating. His designs caught their eyes and they all looked forward to seeing the new selections that he would bring each week in his small decorative suitcase.

 

The name The Jewelry Guy was "given by its customers and built by its customers"; "Oh look!!, here comes The Jewelry Guy, I wonder what he has new in that suitcase for us this week."

 

For a number of years I used various commercial retail business names, but there was only one name that really fit and that was The Jewelry Guy, because The Jewelry Guy was the name that people addressed me by, and so it has been that way ever since, thus began the making of the business name The Jewelry Guy.

 

As the years passed, The Jewelry Guy developed its' business into what it is today, a broad mix of New & Used jewelry, a buy & sell shop that trades in gold, diamonds, silver, electronics, gaming, you name it. Thanks to our customers, we continue to have great success. We believe, that by cutting down on costs to run our business we are able to keep giving you great deals on all our products, provide jewelry, watch & computer repair services, packing and shipping serivces with carriers UPS and Canpar PLUS PAY YOU TOP DOLLAR for your GOLD & SILVER.

 

The Jewelry Guy listens to feedback from its' customers and builds a product mix and service so people keep coming back. Our product selection consists of unique designs, modern and traditional. We specialize in both new and used jewelry. Our customers want beautiful jewelry at great prices. We do our best to cut down on our overhead costs, no bells and whistles here, just beautiful gold and diamond jewelry at affordable prices. And YES, we'll even buy your grandma's old gold teeth.

 

As The Jewelry Guy grew in popularity in the Golden Horseshoe, I purchased The UPS Store #100 in Hamilton as an investment company. Due to my extensive experience in graphic design and the print trade it was a perfect fit to our expansion. In the early part of 2010 my family decided it was a time to move back to my grass roots of Northern Ontario, born and raised in Timmins Ont an opportunity presented itself in the town of Kirkland Lake where Carl's Office Supply was closing, so we bought Carl's Office Supply because we saw it would make it a perfect fit to the business vision we had of merge our two businesses into one, The Jewelry Guy and The UPS Store, thus began the making of Carl's Office Supply "We Do More Than Office Supplies". So far it has been welcomed by the community of Kirkland Lake and we hope to build it in accordance to the needs of the people of the town of Kirkland Lake.
